From her earliest days, Elgene's beautiful smile and nurturing spirit endeared her to the family, foreshadowing a future dedicated caring for others. She embarked on a journey of education, culminating in the attainment of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Driven by a passion for making a meaningful difference in the lives of others, Elgene set her sights on Canada, where she obtained licensure as a healthcare aide. It was here that she encountered a pivotal experience, caring for a client with cerebral palsy and vision impairment, requiring round-the-clock supervision. For four years, Elgene devoted herself wholeheartedly to her client's well-being, forging a deep connection and sense of purpose in her caregiving role.
Fuelled by her unwavering dedication and entrepreneurial spirit, Elgene founded Fil-CzechCare, inspired by her Filipino and Czech heritage.
